The Space Generation Advisory Council

The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) in Support of the United Nations Programme for Space Applications is a non-governmental, non-profit organization and network with more than 10,000 members and alumni in more than 110 countries. An outcome of a United Nations recommendation from the UNISPACE III conference, SGAC was formed in 1999 to represent university students and young space professionals aged 18-35 to the United Nations, space agencies, industry, and academia. Through a series of events, project groups, competitions and scholarships, SGAC helps young professionals further engage with the space community, and share their perspectives on space related issues. These activities along with volunteer opportunities within the organization also help SGAC members develop personal and professional skills relevant to their careers, and grow their professional network.
