Exhibitor Interview: Bradford Belote, CFPS, Director of Sales at Zemarc

Please could you tell us a little more about your company and role?Bradford Belote

Zemarc Corporation is a distributor and systems integrator for motion control and fluid management systems.  We provide advanced hydraulic test equipment and precision process control components to the aerospace industry.  I am currently the Director of Sales at Zemarc and my previous position was Aerospace Systems Business Development Manager.

What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?

A lot of design/build engineering groups are going to tell you why something isn’t possible.  At Zemarc we define success in our willingness to meet the unique challenges posed to us by our customers.  Whether those difficult requirements are technical or centered on tight timelines, Zemarc is there to meet those challenges head on.

Within your sector, what are the key opportunities and challenges your company faces at present?

The key opportunities are in the increased demands for precision and advanced testing parameters being requested by customers. The challenge is meeting these demands in the time frame required.  We have been adapting by being able to repurpose systems and components and avoiding complete customization, which typically has increased lead times, by modifying standard or off the shelf components to meet the needs.

What products will you be featuring at the show this year and what response are you expecting?

This year we will be featuring a Hybrid Actuator System combining a hydraulic actuator and power unit delivering a maintenance free, high performance hydraulic actuator for single point of use applications.  We will also be demonstrating our advanced motion control capability with a six degree of freedom platform controlled by a Delta Motion Controller.

Why are you exhibiting and what connections do you hope to make at Space Tech Expo?

We are hoping to connect with design engineers and key decision makers involved in the specification of test equipment, ground support equipment, process and fluid management systems and components.

In terms of industry news, what development, announcement or otherwise has stood out most to you in the past year and why?

The news that governments are turning to the private launch sector at an increasing rate to meet their needs and required capabilities.  The increased demand from both the private sector and government bodes well for a developing and exciting industry.

And finally, if you could have one historical figure over to dinner, who would it be and why?

Winston Churchill because he was one of the most courageous and resilient leaders in modern history.
