II. Application Process

6. Methodology

To establish as large and diverse cadre of candidate start-ups, Space Tech Expo has crafted a two-part streamlined submission process.  First organizations complete an express, abridged online form within the Space Tech Expo website.  Then submitting organizations simply follow-up with an email containing their standard pitch deck along with a link to a company video.

  1. Diversity

To best capture the finest in space start-ups, Space Tech Expo specifically seeks to include a wide range of solutions from a wide range of start-ups.  Therefore, submissions from diverse groups of founders are specifically encouraged.  This includes communities that may be traditionally under-represented, including, for example, start-ups founded by women, veterans, indigenous, etc.

  1. Application

To enter the competition, participants must electronically submit the Application.  Then follow-up with an email to the designated email address.  The email should contain a pitch presentation in Adobe Acrobat PDF, as either an attachment or a link.  The email should also contain a link to a background descriptive video.  The video does not necessarily need to be specifically produced for this submission.  It can follow the format of the pitch deck, be a standard explainer video, or it can alternatively be of a general company informational presentation.  Whatever is submitted, the video must simply prove that the submitter’s space start-up is among the most innovative and transformative in the world and worthy of the 2024 Space Tech Expo USA Top Tech Trophy.
